Stay
Couples, families, groups and four-legged friends are all taken care of by our broad range of elegant accommodation options at Raithwaite Sandsend, near Whitby. With cloud-like beds, stylish bathrooms, leafy views and everything right where you need it, you just need to turn up, drop your bags and relax. We can even arrange in-room spa treatments in most rooms, so there’s barely any reason to budge. Rooms are located either in the Main House (some with wonderful views of our gardens), The Hide (in the forest near the main entrance, within easy walking distance to Sandsend Beach) or in Rooms by the Beck, close to the surrounding woodland.
Snug
Our Snug rooms may be the smallest in the family, but they don’t lack in style or substance. Like the name suggests, these rooms are snug, welcoming and perfect for a relaxing stay at Raithwaite Sandsend.

Cosy
Our Cosy rooms, some which are tucked up in the eaves, are a stylish accommodation option, with a neutral palette and beds so comfortable you won’t want to leave. After a bracing walk in Whitby, or a delicious meal at Raithwaite Sandsend, settle in with a glass of bubbly and enjoy some well-earned downtime on the terrace or in the brand-new Bar 1822.

Comfy
Our light-filled Comfy rooms have a seating area and stylish decor, some with the added option of a balcony or terrace for al fresco relaxing. Additional sofabeds are available for the little ones, and some rooms have a two-floor accommodation layout for that little bit more luxury.
Pet-Friendly
Pets are very much welcomed at Raithwaite Sandsend – we’re one of the most dog-friendly hotels in Whitby and the surrounding area. Our pet-friendly rooms are perfectly placed to explore our beautiful grounds, from a quick stroll around the beautiful gardens, to venturing a little further into the woodlands or on one of the many glorious walks along the coast or in the North York Moors.
Mini Suite
With a little more space and our signature contemporary styling throughout, our Mini Suite rooms have the added bonus of a balcony with relaxing views of the lush Raithwaite Sandsend grounds, perfect for a post-walk lounge.

Suite
At Raithwaite Sandsend, we have a range of elegant suites perfect for families or couples who want that extra bit of space. All suites come with super-luxurious Super King or King-sized beds, a spacious contemporary bathroom with a separate bath and shower, and a balcony where you can enjoy breakfast or an afternoon tea or pre-dinner tipple. Rollaway beds are available, and some of our suites have views of our beautiful orchards and manicured gardens.

Family Suite
Spread out and relax in our two-bedroom ensuite Family Suite, where kids have plenty of space (and you do, too). A lounge and dining area, plus a private outdoor space with views of Raithwaite Sandsend’s orchards provide the perfect family getaway.
