Surrounded by loungers, Raithwaite Sandsend’s indoor pool area is a great space to relax and enjoy all of the physical and mental benefits of swimming without the need to travel to Whitby beach.

With its beautiful location very close to the coast, our unique Whitby hotel provides guests with the option of enjoying outdoor swimming in the sea all year round. Thankfully we also have a heated 17-metre indoor swimming pool, for those who prefer bathing inside and not having to worry about the elements.

Located within our light-filled Whitby spa, our heated indoor pool overlooks our beautiful gardens and landscaped grounds, perfect for gazing out at while you swim. There is also a restorative heat circuit, including a sauna and steam room, as well as four treatment rooms offering a range of treatments including full-body massages, plus a relaxation room.
We provide fresh towels and robes for guests using our swimming pool, as well as drinking water and a complimentary herbal tea after any spa treatment and on request for guests here for a dip in the pool. Coin-free lockers are available for guests to leave their belongings, for a wonderful, hassle free spa experience.

Unlike other hotels with a swimming pool in Whitby, all of our Spa facilities, including the pool, are open and available to both residents and non-residents when they book one of our spa offers. The Spa is open from 7am until 7.50pm daily, including the pool, sauna and steam room.
