We serve a tempting, seasonal lunch menu year round, and in the summer months, our outdoor terrace is transformed into an al fresco restaurant overlooking our beautiful gardens. Our menu changes with the seasons, showcasing the freshest Yorkshire produce and offering a variety of vegetarian and meat options – so there’s always a reason to come back for a delicious Whitby lunch at Raithwaite.
Great food on our lunch menu
We pride ourselves on serving seasonal, sustainable dishes throughout the year at the Restaurant or in our Bar 1822. Working closely with trusted local suppliers, we source the finest ingredients from as close to Whitby as possible, thereby reducing our food miles while ensuring our produce is as fresh as can be. We are also lucky to have our very own organic Kitchen Garden, where we grow a variety of herbs, vegetables, salads and fruit.
Examples of the dishes on our menu include a classic Caesar salad, a selection of fresh-cut sandwiches, our house burger and steak served with garlic butter, and seafood dishes such as a crayfish cocktail and traditional Whitby fish ‘n’ chips.
We also have an extensive drinks menu which includes a wide selection of international wines by the glass and bottle, as well as just-mixed seasonal cocktails and artisanal soft drinks. On Sundays, our favourite Whitby restaurant is known for its traditional roasts, serving seasonal cuts with all the trimmings.
